Conservation Commission <br /> February 22, 1990 <br /> Page 3. <br /> They are proposing to remove the gall, install sloped rip-rap ,with crushed stone <br /> base and leave joints open. <br /> Mr. Mortimer has suggested the float configuration due to the wake created by <br /> boating in the area. They will leave the sta.irwa.y, plug the rip-rap into the <br /> stairway, replace the wall, remove old dock and construct new. <br /> A crane will come down the side of the house, remove the wall at low tide, put <br /> in toe stone and finish a 30' section per day. All work to be alone from upland <br /> side. <br /> He agreed a. siltation fence could be installed 3-4' in front of the wall water- <br /> side of the existing gall during construction. <br /> Paul. Somerville agreed with the shellfish report. He felt the finger inlet has <br /> been created by the property owner's boat. <br /> The size of the float was considered to be large and the Chairman asked if it <br /> could be downsized.. Mr. Sanic i stated Mr. Mortimer requested this size. <br /> Mr. Halpern stated he had no problem with a 20' float; it would be more stable. <br /> Mrs. Simmons stated a smaller float can he conditioned, if desired.
