To talk about the boats the Bradshaws are going to use does not mean a friend of theirs will not drop by and pull up a larger boat to the dock. OPPOSED : Richard Halpern ABSTAINED: Joseph Burns DENIED 9 : 00 SIDNEY COVICH, for the removal, relocation and reconstruction of a pier, rasp and floats of a modified design at 141 Daniel ' s Island Road. Bob Burgmann presented abutter notification receipts . He advised there is an order of Conditions issued several years ago for this pier, ramp and float in a configuration without the fingers on it. Research at the Registry of Deeds showed it was not recorded. They are proposing a relocation from the original position so that it comes out between the two sections of marsh for the 7 feet and the float is being relocated. A section of a float is being located for the existing ramp. It will be a "T" shape float without the fingers and extended slightly. The pier shown in dashed lines on the plan is in existence now. Paul Somerville advised there are some soft shell clams inshore and quahogs around. At the hack end where the float is it turns to heavy deep muck. It does not constitute a► shellfish habitat. It is on the edge of the channel . This is a design worked out with Jeff Ryden at Board of Appeals. Mr. Covich has a 30 f . long boat, wide but not deep. This is the longest pier he can put in there without a variance . He does not see any great amount of destruction and does not have a problem with the design .
