Todd Palmatier presented revised plans. There is an existing horse and pier., He listed the identified resource areas. The coastal bank is very low and really does not ret the definition but does afford a small amount, The existing pier is shown in the dotted configuration; it is very lour, narrow ars rickety, The float i s oriented perpendicular. It will be removed by hand, cut off at/or below ground level . The pier will begin at the top of the coastal bank. There are good ties that will be left. From the top of the bank the pier will extend 60 feet out over the salt marsh and -over the tidal flat. There wi l l be new ramp constructed and connected to the end of the pier. The float will be oriented to crake a "T" configuration, Piles wi l l be " X " installed by hand through the salt marsh and driven, out in the bay. 10 inch piles will secure the float, CCA treated. The decking was to be 2 x 8 and was changed to 2 x 6. 3/411 spacing will be used. The new plea will be over the same location and no vegetation will be removed. It will be elevated over the bank to encourage growth beneath and elevated 5 feet over the salt marsh. Turning the float will reduce prop wash and turbidity. 'A special Board of Appeals permit is in hand. Mr. Burns asked if this went before ACOE and was told not as yet. He stated they have to give access beneath. Mr. Pal mat i er stated there will be 5 feet, or more, of access. Mr. Sherman stated this is much improved over ghat is there, Paul Somerville has no problem with the design.
