W. J. Merrow ret with the Commission regarding the article <br /> which will appear at the Special. Town Meeting to transfer the care and custody of the <br /> four lots given to the town on Santuit Pond to the Conservation Commission. Mr. Bache <br /> asked the Conamission if the property were open to the use of the public, Dorothy re- <br /> plied that if it is taken over by the Conservation Co.nimission, it would have to be open <br /> to the public, but the Commission would not advertise it as such. She explained that <br /> the Commission would not make any improvements --, only only minor brush clearing. Mr. Bache <br /> explained that the residents in the area, do not:want to see any type of activity making <br /> reference to the 1'w1a.shpee/ a eby Fond launching ramp. He asked if they could stop people <br /> from tenting in the area. Dorothy replied that there is no way that they can <br /> sell them tho land as it was a gift to the town. She also said that she was sure the town <br /> would be adversed to selling it.
