Chairperson Studley said that the commission has discussed allowing aerial spraying since the bogs are so extensive. Joe said that it is a real concern of the bog operators and they can understand tight restrictions being placed upon thea, but their concern is aerial spraying* Mr. Martiros asked if sub-committee going to be involved in the 90 acres of Harding property:' Joe replied "absolutely" . He explained that when applying for the grant* they tied it in to the management plan of the 1 akepeace property. Wherefore, if we acquire the 90 acres, we would amend the management plan. He said that it makes sense as a practical matter since we are dealing with contiguous parcels of similar use. Ir. Martiros commented that he heard Otis was 'very interested in acquir - ing the land around Moody Pond. Joe said that he has heard nothing about that. He said that he does know that there is an existing easement on the Harding parcel and there is very close to execution, a second easement dealing with the use of the facility as a military base for landings, take-offs, petroleum storage and alike. He said the Coast Guard, is the special services agent for the base, find'_ looks at Moody Pond or any other pond for recreational purposes.
