The proposal is to construct a single- <br /> family dwelling replacing an existing sIn le-famil r dwelling on.-. lot D ofd' <br /> road to Gooseberry Island. <br /> M-r. Wright explained that the current dwelling is a summer house and that <br /> it would be removed. He said that the sewage and well,. . meet specifications. <br /> Pauline asked what right of way for access purposes he has for that .lot's <br /> Mr. Wright pointed out where the road was located and explained that the <br /> right of way comes in over a dirt way. <br /> Ir. Taylor mentioned that the dwelling is sitting on pilings and is in <br /> rough shape. He said that Mr. Wright would like to make a retirement home <br /> out of i t. <br /> Charlie asked if they would be putting hay bales on the 100 year flood <br /> line. Mr. Taylor said that they would put anything that the Commission :. <br /> wants,, <br /> With regard to accessing the well location, Mr. Taylor said that they <br /> thought they could pick their way through by only removing a few trees <br /> which would consist of scrub oak, bull briar and a few small pitch pine, <br /> He s i that the machinery will- be kept on the high ground f the property. <br /> Charlie asked for plans of the new structure. Mr. Taylor said that it is <br /> basically a 28 ' x . 6.' standard Cape with a ten pitch roof. Discussion was <br /> made of a deck which is shown as existing. Mr, Taylor said that on the <br /> proposal there was no inclusion for a deck ; however, if there was to be a <br /> deck it would be the same size as the existing one. � <br /> Jean asked if- the contours were taken off floodplain map? Mr. Taylor said <br /> that the contours were done on the ground. <br /> Getting back to the discussion of the deck, Charlie said that a filing would <br /> e required if there was to be a deck As the Commission can only approve <br /> ghat they are being shown. Nor. Taylor said that he did not think that <br /> Mr. Wright has any plans to go ahead with a deck at the moment. He said <br /> that the south side of the structure will have a► series of casement windows <br /> which to k out on the bay and there will be no door access, <br /> Charlie asked if there would be any grade changes? Mr., Taylor ' replied '$no,: <br /> just around the immediate level but nothing near the water� " e said every- <br /> thing will be maintained the same. <br /> The secretary was asked to mote that no deck will be allowed at this time <br /> when writing up the orders of condition, <br /> Fearing closed. <br />
