r <br /> • <br /> T <br /> ,minutes of conservation Commission Page <br /> January 4, 1384 <br /> sidney Covich - 8 :015 P.M, Hear .n <br /> --Yr� �nd <br /> Mr. Michael Shag Mr. James Scaman of Olde Colony Remodeling & Construc. <br /> tion were present to represent the applicant in a proposal to construct an <br /> addition to existing residence, a deck and a swimming pool located at One <br /> Daniels Island Road. <br /> Plans were reviewed by the Commission. Mr. Shay pointed out the existing <br /> residence and its location to the water. He mentioned that there is a <br /> well on the property; however, water is purchased from Highwood water Coo <br /> upon reviewing the plans of the swimming pool, Pauline asked why he did <br /> not put it the other way':"' Mr. Shay replied that it made no difference. <br /> He said that the swimming pool would be on the highest property in the en- <br /> tire neighborhood. Pauline asked for the elevations. Mr. Shay presented <br /> the Commission with a copy. Pauline asked that he show exact location of <br /> pool and house on the elevation drawing. Pians were drawn to scale by <br /> Mr* Scaman. <br /> Mr. Shay was asked how much fill was anticipated: He said that there would <br /> be a foundation gall to support the pool and that the excavation would be <br /> taken away. He said that cement would be pumped from the driveway. <br /> Ir. Sher said that they are trying to work with existing grades and that <br /> they will not disturb the bank. He mentioned that they would apply for a <br /> building permit and then would be going to Board of Appeals upon approval <br /> from the Commission. <br /> Jean askea if the pool would need a fence. Mr. Scar mon mentioned that the <br /> fence line was shown on the plan. <br /> March commented that an on-site inspection was needed, <br /> Hearing taken under advisement by the Commission. <br /> i <br /> Floodplain Map <br /> The secretary was'.asked to obtain a recent Floodplain leap from the Building <br /> Inspector. <br /> Increase in. Advertising Fees <br /> The Commission voted, to increase the advertising costs from $13 t $18.50 <br /> due to an increase in nates at The Enterprise. <br /> ReS2est for Map - Mash ee River <br /> Tong Feragamo stopped in to request a copy of the map on the 125 foot set <br /> back along the Mashpee Kiger. He was told to check with the Planning Board. <br />
