a.shpee Conservation Commission <br /> Meeting of May i 1986 <br /> Page Two <br /> pe J._ Ramaswamy Arrow Engineering Inc . - Agent <br /> This proposal is to install and maintain a. mooring facility <br /> consisting of a fixed pier: ramps and four 61 x 81 floats at <br /> #259 Crosstree way, Assessors ' leap #112 , Plot #22. <br /> Robert Raymond presented plans for the applicant. Pictures were <br /> presented by the Chakman, The project is located on Popponesset <br /> Creek. <br /> Ir. Raymond said that the proposed floats will extend approxi- <br /> mately 43 ' beyond mean 1 w water. No lana forms will be changed, r <br /> There will be no impact on shellfish or other marine life* Most <br /> of the work will be done- by hard or from a. barge . <br /> Ms . Behr an inquired as to access from the ' house to the dock. she <br /> also said that the deck on the existing dwelling should be shown on <br /> the plan to give an accurate idea of what is being dame on the pro- <br /> ject , <br /> ro- <br /> ject . Mr.. Ra ymond said that at the time the original planning was <br /> done , the deck was not on the particular structure . "It is there <br /> now and it was when we took the pictures a few days ago. " <br /> Ms . Behrr an said that quite a bit of the fill that was placed behind <br /> the house and which is now under the deck has not been removed "so <br /> the Enforcement Order that we issued on this project is not being <br /> completely complied with" . Ms . Behrman said , "This does not per- <br /> tain to this particular filing; but I 've got a question of the <br /> proprietor of issuing another Order of Conditions for another pro- <br /> ject on a property about which we still have some difficulty con- <br /> cerning <br /> n-e ni ng a previous project. " <br /> Ms . Jacobson pointed out that on-site inspection revealed that hay <br /> bales are scattered and not staked. Three cedar trees in front of <br /> the house are buried by excess fill. <br /> Ms . Jacobson is concerned about the length of the dock. She noted <br /> the number of docks already in existence in the area.. she suggested <br /> two 6 ' x 8 ' floats .. There is also serious concern about the number <br /> of boats that will be using that mooring facility specifically <br /> because of potential adverse impact on fisheries and other habitat, <br /> It is. felt that the Conservation Commission should be informed of <br /> the proposed access previously mentioned herein.
