Trees will be removed. He referred to a similar project several years <br /> ago , Reserved Area C, at the opposite end of the development. <br /> Commission concern was expressed for the herring spawning areas . and the creation <br /> of a funnel effect. The area falls within the 100' setback ruling of the Mashpee <br /> River. A variance would be required from the Board of Appeals . <br /> In answer to commission suggestion that a walkway be built, Mr. Sullivan stated <br /> this would be unacceptable. <br /> Ernest Roberts , Mashpee Shores , addressed the Commission and stated the trees <br /> of which Mr. Sullivan spoke have already been removed. He further stated Mr. <br /> Sullivan has a stop order~ abutting Mashpee River. He recommended construction <br /> of a path , without all the excavation. <br /> Mrs . Charles 1cIntosh, abutter, stated she objected to the proposed use of <br /> gravel in a steep walkway and suggested a graduated step walkway. <br />
