Abutter notification receipts were presented. Application
has been made to the Board of Appeals , but Ff hearing date has n t been scheduled
for the special permit and variance. he stated he was aware the. commission could
not make a decision pending the Board of Appeal decision but wished proceed
with his presentation.
Mr. Rosenbe r advised Mr . Cameron that would put the commission. in a position of
making a decision i thou t their approval and a denial would be neves-nary under
the time constraints. If the Board of Appeals requests changes , it would be
necessary to start all over again. Mr . Cameron stated h would then submit
revised plans ane as the procedure is lengthy, they are trying to gain time.
Mr. Cameron stated the pier i ' x ' long , 70 feet seaward of the mean high
water mark. Minimum elevation above the salt marsh is ' with one inch spaces
between planks. At the beginning -of the pier the deck is elevated to 6.7 to
keep a minimums of 4 feet above the marsh and also to allow lateral access along
the shore. There is no float attached as the intention i to keep a small row
boat at the dock and a mooring out into the water . There is a ladder to access
the boat from the pier.
A 3 foot wide path is proposed with the exact location net determined at this
time, as there is no house on the lot. The location will be determined by the
location f the house. Only small underbrush and small size trees will be cut
for the path ave i d'i ng large diameter trees .
M5 Beh rrnan stated the location of the path must be known if to be part of this
decision. What i s on the plan will have to be built. If the path is changed
at a later date, it will be necessary to come in with a revised plan.
Mr. Cameron stated the dock extends beyond the edge of the marsh approximately
12 feet. There will be no floats.
Mrs. Sharkansky, an abutter on Lot 43, asked to view the plans . She further
asked confirmation that she would be notified of the next hearing.
HEARING CONTINUED INDEFINITELY PEND I BOARD OFAPPEALS DECISION.
8:45 - Robert Wetzler. There was
no one present to represent Mr. Wetzler .
John advised an on site was done and what is proposed is good forestry practice
as long as there is no destruction of the underbrush.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to issue a negative determination to Robert
Wetzler.
