Mashpee Conservation Commission <br /> Meeting of February 26, 1987 <br /> Page <br /> Mr. Hostetter distributed photos of what they will be attempting around the <br /> green sites. They- will be using a lot of native f i el d' tone at the entrances <br /> and on the facing of the club house and were considering at the 18th green with <br /> its proximity to the club house that they would l i e to do it in stone as a wa l l <br /> instead of the wood, abut 350 feet. He requested that option be available to <br /> then at that one spot. As a foundation for the wall boulders would be used. He <br /> presented a letter requesting to amend the application to include the rehab of <br /> the existing barn as mentioned during the on-site. Also submitted was a list <br /> of herbicides and insecticides they would be proposing to use. They will be <br /> used when and where needed and not broadcast i n general . <br /> Ms Behrman requested that when pesticide or herbicide is applied to the .bog <br /> area or the golf course the commission be notified in writing so a record is <br /> maintained . This was agreeable to the applicant. <br /> John asked the plans for the spoils coming off the top of the bogs and. the <br /> debris -to be dredged out of the pond. <br /> Mr. Donnelly stated the organics will be used in the soil mix for construction <br /> of the greens. The other materials will be used for various bens and all mat- <br /> erials <br /> at- <br /> erials will be used on the site for other landscaping purposes. It is planned <br /> to move materials directly to the spot to be used and not store thea. <br /> Ms . Sehrman requested hay bales or a siltation screen be used if stored at any <br /> location. Mr. Hostetter agreed . <br /> Concerning residual chemicals in the bog Soil, the commission was advised there <br /> i s no effect after ten years . <br /> Ms Beh mean requested for the files an overlay of the green indi ating the space <br /> where the footings and viall will be located with complete structural description. <br /> This was agreed . <br /> John referred to the plan and question whether the edge of trees was the edge of <br /> the fairway or a rough to the side,. how close i l l - the clearing be to the edge <br /> of the river. r. Hostetter stated the Planning Board has suggested not getting <br /> any closer than 200 feet from the river. <br /> John stated the San to i t River is in need of a vegetative Management Plan. He <br /> asked if they would consider granting Fisheries & Wildlife a conservation ease- <br /> ment on either side to enable them to manage the river and improve the overall <br /> health of the river. John stated he would contact there for information. <br /> Mr. Hostetter stated he had no problem with . this at a l 1 . <br /> HEARING CONTINUED PENDING RECEIPT of REQUESTED INFORMATION. <br /> The chairman stated i t was a pleasure wor ing with them, they were extremely <br /> cooperative. Ms duPont stated it was a very sensitively designed project. <br /> Jim Williamson appeared to state interest in property -at 178 Timberline Drive <br /> owned by Olive Sha r row whose application of 10/85 was denied and overturned b <br /> D . .Q,. E, but still denied under the town bylaw. They -are requesting amendment <br />
