It has been discovered tura t one <br /> of the supposed bogs is actually a shallow lake. He is asking to include this <br /> in the proposal r a third retention pond. The distance across the pond is <br /> approximately o feet, <br /> Ms Behran questioned whether part be used as a retention pond and the other <br /> left to go into marsh to allow a biological sponge. John agreed to raise <br /> the question to Mr. Hostetter. <br /> . B h rman referred to ther aap of conservation areas, she ste gas ted i n the <br /> Johns Pond Park area there is another large parcel of Conservation land to the <br /> southwest that the Commission might consider putting under the purview of the <br /> Johns Pond Park Committee as an adjunct as it serves the same area. rye: <br /> The possible restrictions were discussed . It was agreed to send a note to Town <br /> Counsel to check on. the restrictions with a copy to the Johns Pond Park Committee. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to commit the parcel of Conservation Land at <br /> Johns Pond to the care and jurisdiction of the Johns Pond Park Committee. � <br /> K s to Anas tapou l os is requesting Commission approval to remove the large Beech <br /> tree. ,John stated where it is so close to the foundation it is possible to <br /> remove it now with no damage to structures. He suggested approva1 be given <br /> if they are willing to plant another ons of saps i ng size. <br /> Ms Behrman Mated there should be no grubbing of roots and cutting should be <br /> flush with the ground. <br /> Wendy Rubin appeared to discuss -Johns Pond 'Beach and cooperative efforts on <br /> the Mashpee R i pier and Johns Pond facilities . h'e i s getting ready for the <br /> summer season. Stickers sold outside of summer residents totalled $2550. <br /> An article a t town meeting will be requestiig funding for improvements and <br /> this would be appropriate to offset costs- <br /> Mr. <br /> ostsuJ r, Rosenberg stated this should come from -the Johns Pond Park Comm i-t tee in <br /> their report to the commission, <br /> Ms Rubin stated one problem a t the beach is a pine tree left by Hurricane Gloria <br /> sitting on the beach picnic area. She stated on June 3 , 1986 a request for a <br /> Determination of Applicability from Joins 'Pond Park Committee was initiated . <br /> Ms Beh rm n stated the commission had g i vian per i s s i on to- remove it . Ms Rubin <br /> stated the DPW is doing the work and in order to be done, a wr i t,t n statement <br /> is necessary. The Selectmen have told Ernie -Vi rg i l io to do it , but everything <br /> is pending Commission approval . <br /> Ms Behrman stated at that time Mr. Virgilito was told he would have to ft T 1 out <br /> a Notice of Intent for the Beach 'sand and was given forms which have not been <br /> done. Ms Rubin asked for help in filling out the forms . <br /> Mr. Rosenberg stated plans are required for attaching to the request for the <br /> Commission and D .E. . . <br />
