MINUTES July 2, 1987 CONSERVATION COMMISSION Ms. Behrn stated there is a concern with future run-off from the house. t Mr. Schopfer stated partial pieces of the concrete under the deck have been removed. He stated the only real alteration 'that has taken Place is the breezeway. He explained that the bulk of the backyard was originally concrete steps, walkways, etc. and reiterated stating all that has been removed is parts of the concrete area, to allow for run-off under the deck. 1r. Rosenburg questioned Mr. Schopfer as to which parts of the walkway that are still existing. [fir. Schopler explained, part of the walk exists under the deep, from the deck to the steps. Mr, Burns questioned the purpose of the chicken wire around the Perimeter of the deck. Mr. Schopfer explained it was placed there to deter rodents from entering under the deck. Nor, Schopfer stated they are intending to remove the sidewalk and construct a deck step. He stated gravel will be placed under the deck to draw some of the water out through the deck. 1r. Burns asked Mr. Schopfer is the l acarian driveway will remain. Mr. Schopfer stated ,yes. Ms. Ferriday questioned Mr. Schopfer if the replacement of the old roof has taken place. Mr. Schopfer stated areas of the roof that needed immediate a ten-- tion have been replaced and stated the area above the breezeway rest be reworked due to a large amount of water buildup. He stated the water will be pitched to the sides. Nis. Mortimer stated as of yet, the building permits have not been obtained, t this time Mr. Schopfer presented a full set ofplans. ) Mr. varfonda stated one one of the plans presented there is an in- accurate reading of the mean low and high water naris.
