Conservation Commission <br /> Meeting of April 7, 1988 <br /> Page 2. <br /> Ms Behr man requested that a report be filed when being applied. Mr. Brown agreed. <br /> Hearing to be closed upon receipt of acceptable design of double ,jeopardy shut- <br /> off, A letter will be provided describing what will be used. <br /> Ms Dunn asked if they could proceed with the work on the disturbed areas on the <br /> band . Ms Behrman stated this would be under the order of Conditions. <br /> Responding to Ms Dunn' s concern for obtaining beach grass, she was advised it <br /> can be obtained now and stored. <br /> 8:00 - Edward F. Lundgren (Anthony Caputo) To maintain in place an existing timber <br /> retaining wall and st i rs, with associated fill and an existing outdoor shower and <br /> deck; to construct an outside dressing room on an existing deck at Lot 41 Magnolia <br /> Lane. <br /> Lisa advised she was asked to do a Certificate of Compliance on the property and <br /> retaining wall , stairway and deck were completed and not on the original plan. <br /> Mr. Caputo presented an as built plan showing the retaining wall ; fill that was <br /> laced and stairway. Haybales are as shown. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg stated the top of the wall is a ; here is 6 feet of fill . <br /> Mr. Caputo advised the house is at elevation 85. There was going to be a steep <br /> s-lope and Mr. Lundgren care out approximately 16 feet and constructed a .w l l with <br /> emplaced fill . Nothi,ng was done beyond the hay bales. <br /> Vis Bhn asked the purpose of the stairs. Mr. Lundgren stated the house was <br /> purchased by ars attorney who requested the stairs be put in to get to the beach <br /> at Mashpee Shores. At the bottom of the stairs it is dry. <br /> Ms Ferriday stated there is a tree stump supporting the retaining wall and was <br /> told that it was placed at the time of construction to allow a machine in for <br /> the well . <br /> Mr, Burns stated he did not see any de-admen showing. <br /> note from t-he building Inspector was read stating concern with stabilization <br /> of the soil on the downhill side of the base. <br /> Ms eh rman stated' bec au se footings did not go below enc i st i ng grade, there are <br /> major. washouts occurring, <br /> Mr. Rosenberg asked if Mr. Caputo had inspected this and he stated he saw the wall <br /> and some h yba l es, there might ho-ve been some erosion; he did not know how the wall <br /> was built. - He stated he would hesitate to comment on the structure or durability <br /> of the gall unless he saw it constructed. <br /> Mr. Lundgren presented an as built of the wall and Mr. Rosenberg noted it was not <br /> signed. <br /> Lisa pointed out that the wall , above the block of wood, is out one inch and below <br /> the block it is out also. It is starting to erode out at the bottom of the wall . <br /> Mr. Caputo stated he cannot comment. <br />
