Mr. Tavares 'asked what is that area? Their office knows of the formula used for this storm water 're' plication-- of areas, if th .y used. that and admitted to It and- created a wetland that size would that be accept- able to the Commission; that' s what they are asking. Ms Behrmn stated this could not be determined without adequate plans. Directed to Lisa, Mr. Tavares asked, without the two isolated wetlands observed there, would she say that most of this would not fall within 100 feet of. where the -water is actually ending up if considering the two isolated wetlands are outside 100 feet of the pond itself. Lisa stated the area could be considered an isolated wetland even if the vegetation wasn' t there. . . Mr. Tavares stated it' s by that formula, He stated they are not changing the finish grade at the bottom of the bowl and not changing the high point, they are only rearranging the griddle of it. Mr . Rosenberg stated if you pour water into a pari it fills up and if you add sand in the pan, it will overflow. Mr. Tavares stated it cannot overflow into the pond. Lisa stated it is understandable they do not want to spend a lot of money for engineering but it has to be determined first what sort of resource area they have related to the pond* Mr. Rosenberg stated, with DEQE regulations .oar replication of a wet- land and a water storage area, the Commission would have to see plans before making a determination Ms Eehrman advised, after having observed this after a rainfall , it is a very important water storage area. 0 The Commission was asked how adding sand to the- beach mould be handled and it was stated it would be the same and an application would have to be filed with the same sort of study to be done. Ms Behrman suggested they meet with the Conservation Agent and a rep- -resentative from DQE at the site. Lisa advised they will be asked to define the resource area and Mr. Tavares stated they were aware of this. One of the other mitigations .that came up is that for the individual areas, such as the volleyball court, that they create sandy areas underneath gust those specific areas without changing the contours. Ms Behrman asked the elevation relative to the water table.
