Conservation commission <br /> Januar-► 26, 1989 <br /> Page 2. <br /> The path was questioned and Mr. Hares stated it is bark munch, well <br /> decomposed, He suggested removal would create more of a problem. <br /> Ms Behrman asked that he correct the notation to state it is bark <br /> mulch down there also. She stated she was disturbed at leaving the <br /> steps there if people are to be kept qff the bank. <br /> Mrs. Simmons suggested when Mr. Hayes brings back the landscape plan, <br /> he bring it right back up to the retaining wall . <br /> Lisa suggested planting 2' off center and Mr. Hayes agreed. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson stated right up to the retaining wall would be her hope. <br /> Mr. Coffer asked that in the area by the water to be called bark mulch <br /> be flagged as existing and not to be replaced. <br /> Mrs. Simmons agreed and stated this should not be grubbed. <br /> Ms ehrman asked about the stairs and Mr. Hares stated if removed the <br /> structural integrity of the wall would be broken. <br /> Mrs. Simmons sated she would like to see a good planting right at the <br /> head of the stairs. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson asked Hr.' Hayes to repeat his earlier statement <br /> regarding the Board- of Health. <br /> Mr. Hayes advised the Board of Health stated a shower that size d i d <br /> not need permitting. Prior to the enactment of a new regulation <br /> established over the past six months, the showers were allowed to re- <br /> charge directly into the ground with a stone base. Those showers built <br /> prior to the enactment of the new laws are grandfathered as far as the <br /> Board of Health is concerned. As far as the size of the house, both <br /> Dr. Herman and the Building Inspector told him they had no knowledge <br /> of any, and he asked them to check the records, building or any en- <br /> largements. <br /> n- <br /> larements. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson stated they said they had no knowledge, in other words a <br /> permit had nearer. been pulled; they had nearer been out. Mt. Hayes stated that is <br /> what Dr. Henan told him. <br /> Diss asked if it were possible to ask Dr. Herman if there were add- <br /> itions to his house and Mrs. Marsteas stated she saw no reason why the <br /> Board could not ask for certification. <br /> Mfrs. Simmons expressed discomfort with the impact from the outdoor <br /> shower and would like to see a drywell . <br /> Mr. Mages stated he will send a copy of the landscape plan with set- <br />
