' Conservation commission
June 15 , 1989
Page 3 .
Mrs . Ferragammo stated it was not that gide and Mr . Jacobson argued
that it was .
Nor, Marsters stated it is 30 inches wide .
Ir . Jacobson stated he has pictures .
Mrs . Simmons stated she was there on Monday and it seemed a reasonable
path .
Mr . Burns stated he was there a week ago Saturday . There are two trails
that go down ; one way to the left , and it was 45-50 feet to the top of
the bank . He asked carol Jacobson if that was correct and she stated
that it was . He further stated in some places it is right along the
bank .arid that is were the Gravely was .
rs . " Ferra ammo disagreed . At that particular section they did not
take the Gravely because it was too much of a slope and going north
they also d i d not take the Gravely .
Mr . Burns offered to go to the site with her and stated it could not-
be done by bard , it was the same thing all the way to the parking lot ,
the same cuttings . -
frs . Ferragam o asked if he was concerned by the trail along the bank ,
is it the fact they have a machine in there?
Mr . Burrs stated no , his complaint is that the Commission ' s jurisdiction
is 100 feet from, the top of the bank and a piece f equipment went in
there .
Mr . Jacobson stated when be stopped thea it was right on the edge . He
said he actually didn ' t stop them , they told hire they weren ' t going to
cut any more .
Mrs . Ferragammo felt they had submitted the paperwork and did contact
the Commission by having the conservation AGent out there narking the
trail , looking at that particular trail in question , she stated she
did not know how much more close she could get to the Commission than
having the Agent ,
Mr . Sherdan stated when he went with hers . Ferragamo and Tori Fud a l a
e assumed it was a courtesy call ,, as the new Conservation Agent , and
they were asking his input on where the trail should be put and with
his limited experience , he concurred with what they said . It was
mentioned a Gravely would be used on sections of it . He did not
discuss any of this with the Commission as he thought this was an
on-going thing . He still concurs with the use of the Gravely in
certain places as necessary . He has not seen it since done .
It was added the commission became involved because a citizen raised
some concerns and it is within the scope of the Commission ' s juris-
diction .
Mrs . Simmons agreed . The RDA and files will be checked . These are
the paths that have been chosen . She commended the Woodlands Committee
for a tremendous job .
