ConComm
AuSust 21, 1989 r
Page 2.
Ms Asmus stated only as noted, it is designed to hold 1800 gallons of
water.
Ms Behrman asked if the dimensions for the dryweil were on the Notice
of Intent.
Mr. Rosenberg stated this is not a closed system.
Ms Asmus stated it is only 18"' off the top, not the entire pool , that
is simply for winter storage ff
Ms eh rman stated that should be part of the written Notice of Intent;
'. the specs of the dryell and what you' re intending to do with draining
the pool . It should be part of the pack age.
Ms Asmus stated she submitted another package and assumed it could be -
incorporated and considered as one. If the commission wants it
amended to include this, that would be areeable,
Mgrs. Simmons asked if it has been sent to the State and was told she
had ,just made it today. It' s all within the other information, this
is gust easier to look at and will be sent to the state. Ms Asmus
advised she hand delivered the new packet to the Commission on Friday
and sent it to the State the same day.
Ms Behrman stated this does not allow the Mate to give input, as they
sometimes do. She expressed concern and suggested the hearing be kept
open
When asked, Ms Asmus stated the Board of health permit for the pool
had not been applied for. She staged it was on a year to ' year basis .
She did not believe it was obtainable at this point.
It was determined this yearly requirement was for a public pool .
Mr. Rosenberg Mated all applicable permits must be applied for prior
to or at the time of the filing of the Notice of Intent with the
Commission.
Ms Behrman suggested an ultra-violet system rather than a chlorinated
system. Chlorine would be a serious concern in a drywell ' from the
water.
Ms Johnson advised the poured concrete will all be in one operation
for the pool and dwell . The grater going into the drywe .l is allowed
to leach at a very slow rate. The drain down of the pool will be prof-
essionally done. It is a closed filtration system.
Ms Behrman expressed concern with Chlorine .this close and asked who
will be keeping track of this. Ms Johnson advised the owners and pool
people will do it. Ms Behrman stated the pool people cannot b
depended on and there is no assurance there will be a two week period
between chlorination and draining.
MsJohnson stated if set as a requirement,, the Hansens would abide by
t 4
