Conservation Commission <br /> December 14, 1989 <br /> Page 14. <br /> DURI E, Emergency Certification Request: It is proposed to install 45-1/2 feet of <br /> sheet pile foundation supports along the coastal bank adjacent to the hone as a <br /> stop-gap measure.. Construction of a wall , in connection with the Belkin property <br /> abutting, has had problems ironing out construction details. <br /> An on-site was done with Mr. Burke,, Robert Sherman and Doug Boyd. Notice of Intent <br /> to be filed within one week. <br /> Photos were. shown and the design engineer gave details. Equipment will enter <br /> through Tide Watch, The only thing on the beach will be the crane. <br /> Mr. Burns advised there has been clearing on the Delkin property and no filing <br /> with the Commission. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to proceed with the emergency measures. Unanimous. <br /> The Chairman stated abutters must be notified. <br /> EDIEED ', Prospective member, was introduced. His letter was circulated. The <br /> Chairman advised there are three applications for membership: Edwin Beeby who is <br /> retired and available for on--sites and daytime projects. He is a boater and an <br /> Q <br /> engineer. <br /> I <br /> Marcia Johnson, who is willing to work on special projects, has a background in <br /> education, is a real estate agent and has been interviewed by Town Counsel and <br /> found to have no conflicts of interest. <br /> Richard Halpern, assistant harbormaster and alternate on the Zoning Board of Appeals* <br /> After d i s c u s s i ort i t was voted: <br /> VOTE: Motion rade and seconded to recommend to the selectmen that Edwin Beeby and <br /> Marcia Johnson be appointed full members 'of the Commission, <br /> HUNTING REGULATION: <br /> VOTE: blotion made and seconded to accept the hunting regulation submitted by the <br /> f ashpee River Woodlands Committee dealting with Hunting. <br /> PROPOSED REGULATIONS <br /> VOTE: Motion Made and seconded to accept 10, 1 , 13, 14 and 15 of the proposed <br /> additions to the regulations to go into effect January 1 , 1990 excluding <br /> 11 to be taken under advisement. <br /> Issued raised at the public hearing will be addressed. <br /> Item #9, Dort-Criminal Disposition : Rob Gatewood to be contacted. <br /> PENDING LITIGATION: A list of items of pending or possible litigation to be drawn up. <br /> BUDGET: Due January 10. The only way to do a 10 reduction budget is to reduce the <br /> Agent's hours weekly by four and the Secretary' s hours by two. <br /> NEW EA URY: A letter was read concerning coastal dune erosion. Mr. Sherman advised <br /> the DPS! controls the town beach. <br />
