Public 'Works Building Committee <br /> Meeting of September 12, 1984 <br /> Page 3. <br /> Mr. Re stated the question of finished grade has been raised at each meeting <br /> and asked Ellis to provide an opinion of the contract at the next meeting. <br /> Ernie Virgilio advised the committee that finished grade is just before <br /> asphalt, preparing the area for asphalt paving. <br /> Leo Sweeney has tri ed, to comply with the torn request that he take out the <br /> equivalent of Workmens Compensation, but has been unable to ascertain what <br /> the equivalents are. The committee was advised that Paul Peters handles <br /> the town insurance. <br /> Ernie 1lirgilio agreed to inquire into the matter tomorrow and notify Mr. <br /> Sweeney of his findings. <br /> Ernie also reported the work has been dome at the entrance. He stated that <br /> Newton Stephen has been very cooperative. <br /> Barbara LaFI eur of Triple A_stated she also will be available at the jobsite <br /> and lives in Centerville. <br /> Ellis reported the i nvo ice .for payment should be acted on next Monday night. <br /> He presented the Committee with charge orders signed by him and backed-up <br /> by the letters from Triple A that were read to the committee last week, It <br /> was noted Leo Sweeney saw the change orders today and had approved them. <br /> VOTE: Mored' and second6d to approve change order #1 for the well . Unanimous, <br /> VOTE: Mored and seconded to approve change order #2 for the floor drain for <br /> the Paint and Sign Room. Unanimous. <br /> Newton reported that next week it is planned to backfill and compact. They <br /> will be pouring in checkerboard fashion. Interior work cannot be started <br /> until slab is poured. <br /> Ellis advised the shaft is in and under the pavement work is done, The lift <br /> was installed today, <br /> The items presented on the Certificate of Payment dated 8/11 through 9/14, <br /> but which was cut back to 9/12, were reviewed for the cony i ttee, <br /> Line i tern for Project Superintendent 3500. <br /> Line item for Site preparation, rough grading 10' 000.* <br /> Cutting to $1500, <br /> -Under Earth Work 4200,* <br /> Cutting to $2200, <br /> Walls, footings, etc. 129513. <br /> Requested for the -Month: $25,100, Being cut to $10,000, <br />
