Public 'Works Building Committee Meeting of September 12, 1984 Page 3. Mr. Re stated the question of finished grade has been raised at each meeting and asked Ellis to provide an opinion of the contract at the next meeting. Ernie Virgilio advised the committee that finished grade is just before asphalt, preparing the area for asphalt paving. Leo Sweeney has tri ed, to comply with the torn request that he take out the equivalent of Workmens Compensation, but has been unable to ascertain what the equivalents are. The committee was advised that Paul Peters handles the town insurance. Ernie 1lirgilio agreed to inquire into the matter tomorrow and notify Mr. Sweeney of his findings. Ernie also reported the work has been dome at the entrance. He stated that Newton Stephen has been very cooperative. Barbara LaFI eur of Triple A_stated she also will be available at the jobsite and lives in Centerville. Ellis reported the i nvo ice .for payment should be acted on next Monday night. He presented the Committee with charge orders signed by him and backed-up by the letters from Triple A that were read to the committee last week, It was noted Leo Sweeney saw the change orders today and had approved them. VOTE: Mored' and second6d to approve change order #1 for the well . Unanimous, VOTE: Mored and seconded to approve change order #2 for the floor drain for the Paint and Sign Room. Unanimous. Newton reported that next week it is planned to backfill and compact. They will be pouring in checkerboard fashion. Interior work cannot be started until slab is poured. Ellis advised the shaft is in and under the pavement work is done, The lift was installed today, The items presented on the Certificate of Payment dated 8/11 through 9/14, but which was cut back to 9/12, were reviewed for the cony i ttee, Line i tern for Project Superintendent 3500.
