Conservation Commission <br /> January 20, 1994 <br /> Page 5. <br /> r <br /> Public comments were requested:none. <br /> Vim: Motion made and seconded to find a negative determination with acceptance o <br /> the wetland delineation as flagged. . <br /> NEGfflW DETERMEWiTION <br /> 8:00 ROBERT CAGGIULA for a Deters nation of Applicability on the proposed removal <br /> of trees at 45 Hoeppole Road, Joseph Nardelli of Allenby Tree & Landscape Service <br /> presenting. They are requesting removal of three Tupelos and two Oaks to increase <br /> lower growth. <br /> Mr. Homeyer asked the basal diameter f the trees to be removed? Mr. Nardelli <br /> advised they are 14" with the largest 18". <br /> Mrs, Ferriday asked the distance to the pond? Mr. Nardelli did not know. <br /> Mr. Homeyer stated the sketch is unacceptable. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised he met with the applicant at the site and the area of the trees <br /> is a scraggly lawn, with no shrubs, but six significant trees. The trees do not <br /> interfere with the house roof. Linder the wetlands act, the Commission would not <br /> have much to say, but under the bylaw a 50 foot buffer strip is sought. It would <br /> be proper to remove some of the trees and substitute some with plants or grasses <br /> that would be better for wildlife habitat. <br /> The Chairman requested a more definitive plan. <br /> Mrs. Ferriday suggested having the amorist look at the trees; maybe they can be <br /> trimmed. Mr. Nardelli stated the applicants do not want the trees. <br /> y �M <br /> Mr. Homeyer stated em would-move Tor -a positive det �n tion and have -them come <br /> back with a Notice of":Intent. Mrs. Ferriday added unless '-they would want to withdraw. <br /> She would want a landscape plan reviewed by the Commission's arborist. <br /> Public comments were -requested; n .. <br /> f <br /> Mr. Nardelli asked if the Commission is requiring a definitive landscape plan's <br /> Mr. Desrosiers stated a plan' would be requ"fired before removal o any Ftrees. <br /> rF ■ � �� + f ,w r <br /> Mr. Sherman stated i they do not want to do the plan, the +Commission isin to , <br /> g g <br /> say no.
