Motion carried, NEGATIVE DETERMINATION, 8:40 ALTS N. ALLEN for a Determination of Applicability on a concrete step repair and maintenance of the same footprint at 6 Jehu Pond Road. Mr., Allen presenting. Ms Dannik stated she lives across the pond from Mr. Allen and stepped down for the hearing. Mr. Allen had no objections to her sitting. Ir. Sherman stated he has seen the stairs on several occasions and they have . started to ,deteriorate# they need attention. The project is minimal. The pumps are alarmed. Mr, Homeyer asked if there are double pumps? They can be put in the smaller system and are in the larger systems. 1r. Sherman asked the average nitrate removal compared to Title V The present estimated removal is 28 - 29% In a normal system. with this addition, it varies between 9 - . Nitrate comes down to about 2.9 on average. Ms Lannik asked how large is the structure? For the average house It is 4 feet across, 7 feet in the ground, The Stop & Shop required 10 feet across and 1 feet in the ground. Asked if a special permit from DEP was needed, Mr. Roland stated everyone must be permitted with DEP. Mr. Sherman asked if this might be one of the approved systems in the new regs' It was Mr. Roland's understanding that all of the systems that are going to be approved are going to have to be registered with the State.
