It is very close to zero. <br /> Technicians open the ,top and if it smells bad; they know there is' a problem <br /> with the Bio Mass. DFP requires quarterly testing <br /> for the first year, <br /> Mr. Ball asked if the Conservation Commission or Board of Health can add <br /> conditions` Mr. Roland stated they supply a black box; they are -totally <br /> at the disposal of DFP, Board of Health and any other governing body. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked the added cost for this system? If repairing a system, it would <br /> be $4600. for the unit delivered. If doing a repair job $5000. and $300 per year <br /> for them to maintain. Mr. Sherman asked, assuming a new installation, how much <br /> would this add beyond the conventional Title v cost? This would add $6500. <br /> Ms Lamik asked if they handle the permitting process? The engineer would make <br /> application, they would help. The process would take from ten days to two weeks. <br /> If there is any failure, DEP mint be notified within 24 hours <br /> Mr. Ball asked if this system is installed and electricity is lost, does it go <br /> back to a Title v system? It goes back into a double Title v system; it will <br /> still operate because it is gty' fed, unless there is a rounded pump-up system. <br /> There are two holding tanks before going out into the field and treatment would <br /> o on for 72 hours. <br /> Ms Lannik stated Mashpee has at lot of sinner residents, how would the alarm <br /> system work's They. &n't irntall into surer residences, It takes 4 to 6 weeks <br /> to start the Bio Mass. They will drain this system and put in pure water and <br /> then when they return, they will turn it on for them and the Bio Mass will have <br /> to restart. It is not a summer camp type of system. <br /> Mr. T esrosiers asked the replacement life cycle's It is 30 years because that is <br /> as long as they have gone but are still going. The electrical cost is about the <br /> same as a household refrigerator. The engineering costs for permitting is $400 <br /> for DFP submission. Engineering design costs are about the same as Title V. <br /> The Chairman thanked Mr, Roland and Mr. Gr t ke for coming in' . <br /> SOUMPORT: The Agent advised there is more erosion into the wetland.
