The motion was seconded by Williain <br /> Taylor and all other commission members voted in favor. <br /> Public Comment: Michael Ford. <br /> Michael Ford. of Johns Pond Estates addressed the <br /> commission. <br /> Mr. Ford is seeking task and approval for two items . one <br /> being dredging of a portion of Johns Pond that is filling <br /> in which is, Mr. Ford states one of the "best fishing spots <br /> on the Cape". Mr. Ford suggests that for the past two or <br /> three gears, it has been very difficult to get most boats <br /> L <br /> n or out of this area. He has been seeking task approval <br /> from the selectman for dredging. The initial response from <br /> the selectman has been a non-opposition for dredging, which. <br /> was looked upon by the Johns Pond Estate Association as <br /> positive . <br /> The second request is with the middle of the ponce, which <br /> the Association also believes is in need of dredging. <br /> Mr . Ford also stated that the association would like to <br /> obtain a survey for a baseline to mark hazardously low <br /> areas . <br /> Harbormaster, Perry Ellis, suggested that a lot of the <br /> problem is the lake â–ºrater level . Mr. Ellis stated that the <br /> lake level is down 16"' to a foot and a half. <br /> Jiro Hanks stated that the commission generally does not <br /> involve it sel.f in water levels . Mr} Hanks further stated <br /> that he would be very willing to meet with Mr. Ford and the <br /> Johns Pond Association to assist them in addressing some of <br /> their 'issues . Jim Hams asked Michael Ford if what, if <br /> any, plans or documentation he had concerning the history <br /> of Johns Ponds dredging needs . Mr. Danks suggested if <br /> there i s no history of plans and documentation it would be <br /> considered improvement dredging rather than maintenance <br /> dredging, <br /> The Commission unanimously agreed that Jim should meet with <br /> Michael Ford to try to get some bathyrnetry workdone <br /> REVIEW MINUTES OF 4 JANUARY 000; <br />
