dredging mater i a l . The motion was seconded by Williain Taylor and all other commission members voted in favor. Public Comment: Michael Ford. Michael Ford. of Johns Pond Estates addressed the commission. Mr. Ford is seeking task and approval for two items . one being dredging of a portion of Johns Pond that is filling in which is, Mr. Ford states one of the "best fishing spots on the Cape". Mr. Ford suggests that for the past two or three gears, it has been very difficult to get most boats L n or out of this area. He has been seeking task approval from the selectman for dredging. The initial response from the selectman has been a non-opposition for dredging, which. was looked upon by the Johns Pond Estate Association as positive . The second request is with the middle of the ponce, which the Association also believes is in need of dredging. Mr . Ford also stated that the association would like to obtain a survey for a baseline to mark hazardously low areas . Harbormaster, Perry Ellis, suggested that a lot of the problem is the lake ►rater level . Mr. Ellis stated that the lake level is down 16"' to a foot and a half. Jiro Hanks stated that the commission generally does not involve it sel.f in water levels . Mr} Hanks further stated that he would be very willing to meet with Mr. Ford and the Johns Pond Association to assist them in addressing some of their 'issues . Jim Hams asked Michael Ford if what, if any, plans or documentation he had concerning the history of Johns Ponds dredging needs . Mr. Danks suggested if there i s no history of plans and documentation it would be considered improvement dredging rather than maintenance dredging, The Commission unanimously agreed that Jim should meet with Michael Ford to try to get some bathyrnetry workdone REVIEW MINUTES OF 4 JANUARY 000;
