This shellfish grant application is to be labeled Bangs Shellfish Grant Application— <br /> raft 11 7-June-2000. <br /> . Review and Acceptance of Mgy 2000 Minutes: Mr. York suggested numerous <br /> changes to be made. Paul Lumsden made a notion to accept the minutes with the <br /> appropriate changes suggested by Mr, York. Gerald Daly seconded the motion and <br /> all other members voted in favor. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Harbormaster Repoft—Perry Ellis, <br /> No report available at this time. <br /> . Shellfish Constables —Rick York. <br /> Rick York informed us that we have trained} in the past couple of weeks, new police <br /> marine patrols} which will be a major help on the water with both the harbormaster <br /> and shellfish departments during the up coming busy tourist season. <br /> Rick has already started about 200,000 quahog seeds out of about 3,000,000 that we <br /> are getting;from the state through the state propagation program. The rest of there <br /> will be due by the 15"' of this month, <br /> Water quality---the water temperature is running fairly normal, which is about 70 <br /> degrees on the warm days in the bays. Presumably any areas that have high levels of <br /> bacteria are only in the closed areas. <br /> The state just seat a memo that they increased the minimal size limit of eels to be <br /> taken from 4" to 6"7. There is also a recreational limit of 5 0 eels per day. <br /> At the department head meeting today, they mentioned a plan to start a very extensive <br /> town web page as early as July. TWs web page would allow anyone to be able to <br /> accesa all types of town information including waterways information. They have <br /> asked for all departments to input information for their part of the web site. <br /> 3. Committee Reports <br /> Fresh, water—William Taylor <br /> Mr. Taylor informed us that they had the Mashpee-wakeby Lake Management <br /> Meeting. Bill Marsters was back in town so he was able to conduct the meeting. <br /> One of the items that everyone at the ,meeting received was a list of the Bass <br /> Tournament dates for the upcoming season. Also discussed were the rules and <br /> regulations that were to be discussed at the following nights meeting with the state <br /> Department of Environmental .Police. <br /> Fopponesset Bay—Herb Silver <br />
