Kathleen stated the Mashpee watershed Year will come <br /> into effect September 1997 through 1998 . The Agent recommends <br /> postponement of educational mailings to coordinate with fall. <br /> publicity. <br /> MOTION: Harry Desro .iers made a lotion to postpone the <br /> educational mailings in order to coordinate information with the <br /> BPC Committee, until such time as the study information has been <br /> issued; said motion having been duly seconded and so voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> . Kathleen updated the commission on this matter. She <br /> stated lir. Sheehan is scheduled to appear at the August 7th <br /> meeting. She presented information received from George <br /> eufelder regarding details of the required monitoring. <br /> IP <br /> The Chairman agreed the Commissioners would review the <br /> information in preparation for the August 7th Meeting. <br /> . Kathleen reported Rod Pierce requested permission to post <br /> a "No vehicles" sign entering onto the ancient way, Great Hay <br /> Road, Jay Hugh Pond area. She further~ reported that he went <br /> ahead and posted the sign, without approval . He called to <br /> apologize. Kathleen attempted to remove the sign and found it <br /> had been cemented in. She covered the sign with a bag for the <br /> time being. The agent is concerned about setting a precedent; <br /> has requested consideration of the Commissioners; to be addressed <br /> at the August 7th Meeting. <br /> George Green stated that although the Friends may have the <br /> west of intentions, they have overstepped their bounds . There is <br /> a management Team for the wildlife Refuge, who should have been <br /> informed. As the Town of Mashpee and Mashpee Conservation <br /> Commission are the owners of the land, they should have been <br /> notified in order to render a decision. He further stated his <br /> support for removal of the sign. <br /> MOTION: George Green made a Motion for the removal of the <br /> sign; which lotion was seconded by John Johansen and so voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> The Commissioners directed Kathleen to notify Mr. Palmer in <br /> writing of the decision and vote taken to have the sign removed. <br /> 7:40 Bovarnic , Novakoff and Duncan, for repair/replacement <br /> of three adjacent failing coastal structures at 40, 46, and 52 <br /> Triton Way, Assessors map 127, Block 82, 83, and 84 .
