August 199'
'age 12.
There an article in the paper for some volunteer help. Storage space has
been offered through March. The fiber rolls cannot be put in until spring. He
may ask for delayed delivery.
Outreach work: John Johansen has been worming with the Agent on a
mailing.
Mr. Sherman advised he met with Maggie Geist and Beverly Kane who are
the designated education people and there will be a big output for the
watershed year with a lot of publicity in the fall. It was decided to send the
mailing out at the same time to take advantage of the publicity. Maggie
Geist has agreed to screen the material and give some suggestions.
Beach Nourishment: The filing for Bovarnick was continued to 21 August.
Mr. Sherman advised he is meeting on the 13that DEP with Aubrey, BSC and
New Seabury concerning beach nourishment. Some people have defaulted on
reports, some on nourishment. It is hoped that DEP wffl put the hammer to
hese people and come up with a comprehensive, long-term nourishment plan
for that area.
Also, it has been policy when an ENF is involved to not issue until the
Secretary's final designation that it is satisfactory is received and the Agent
feels the Commission should maintain that policy.
Foss: Mr. Sherman advised they had a permit from the Commission and had
to go back to Board of Appeals because it lapsed. It has been voted on but not
issued so the appeal period is not over. wring the storm on Friday the float
broke away. Little River asked permission to put in the piles and the new
float. mar. Sherman advised he gave permission as it made sense not to have a
runaway float. Mr. Francoeur may object to what was done so he wanted the
Commission to be aware.
1i 'aio; Of the alteration that was clone, 19 feet is in the first 1.90 feet of the
RPA, the rest is in the second. Mr. Sherman stated he will have to rale him
aware it is dubious whether he will get a perrndt for the pool.
i
Mr. Shaw asked, if there is no chance of being approved, wham is the reason
for goi .g through the Wig. Mr. Sherman stated he spore to Town Counsel
and you have to make him mare it is dubious, but you cannot deny him the
opportunity of fir g. Mr. Shaw asked if Aft. DiFazio could check this out and
thea just remove it without going through the Bing? Mr. Sherman stated he
could.
