He stated that he has had problems with the Pond being too <br /> high for the last three gears. He stated the Pond is <br /> currently at a. perfect level for him. He inquired as to whom he <br /> should contact if future problems should. arise. He also stated <br /> that the most critical time for him is the end of May to the last <br /> week of Jure. He also noted there are no provisions dressin <br /> cranberry growers within the Plan. <br /> Bob Ho ie, Chairman of the Sandwich Conservation Commission <br /> agreed with Mr. Sherman in that they would need some time to <br /> discuss the situation prior to closing the Hearing, and <br /> preparation of an order of Conditions. He asked Mr. Bliven to <br /> submit to him, at some point, any Conditions he might suggest. <br /> Nor. Bliven responded he use the suggested Recommendations <br /> for the Pond within the report as a basis for what is suggested <br /> to be done. <br /> Mr. Ho ie then inquired if there are any specific <br /> concerns/conditions that would apply to the sandwich portion of <br /> the Pond. <br /> Mr. Bliven answered, "Not that I know of . " He stated the <br /> particular issues were the ability of fish getting in and out; <br /> flooding of property around the Pond; wetlands on Canonchet <br /> (Willow molly Reservation) ; and that the natural Heritage Program <br /> has identified the Pond as a site for fresh water mussels. other <br /> than that, Mr. Bliven stated he was unaware of any sandwich <br /> specific items. <br /> Mr. Ralunen asked if there is a bench mark on the Pond; to <br /> which Nor. Bliven answered Ponds do not typically have an approved <br /> level . most ponds work on a natural system and fluctuate up and <br /> down. He stated that as a result of this process, the Town will <br /> attempt to manage the bond at approximately 55 l feet, with the <br /> understanding that the Pond will fluctuate within a limited <br /> range. <br /> At this point, Mr. Sherman stated his desire to work closely <br /> with the sandwich Conservation Commission. He recommended to the <br /> ashpee Conservation Commission that they continue for two weeks, <br /> - - <br />
