20 August 1998
Page 10.
Mr. Slavm* sky stated this lot is not quite as bad.
Mr. Sherman stated a wall would be needed at the work limit and taxes are
owed. He would want to look at the driveway and catch basin.
Mr. Fitzsimmons asked the distance to the deck? It is 59'.
Mr. Blakeman stated on either side of this house, there have been no
problems with the slopes. Mr. Sherman stated silt fences and haybaies will
not work on this steep lot. In lieu of a wall, if any material enters the
wetland, Mr. Blakeman could agree to do a $15Q0 wildlife habitat
assessment.
Mir. Blakeman argued there are two lots on either side that have not had a
problem. Mr. Sherman stated they are 1-4 all the way down. He continued,
if they can come up with an alternative for haybales and silt screens.....he
suggested he try to set up anon-site with Don Liptack of the Soil
Conservation Service, an erosion consultant, to see if he has some ideas. He
did not want to put Mr. Blakeman to additional expense.
Mr. Rosenberg asked haw they would get the wader service in? It will be
done by hand. Mr. Sherman stated that would be conditioned and there
would be apre-work on-site.
Public comment: none.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue the hearing at the request of
the applicant to 17 September 1998 at 8:30 p.m. Unanimous Vote.
HEARING CONTINUED.
9:10 CRAIG LYNCH, 70 Poppanesset Island Road, continued from 6
August 1998. Amy Ball presenting. She Mated the Commission had asked
for details regarding the French drain and the diywell.
Mr. Green added, and the pool apron.
Ms Ball pointed out the area of the drain on two sides of the pool. Mr. Green
staffed it is pitched towards the revetment. Instead of being captured, the
run-off will put hydraulic pressure on the revetment.
