15 July 1999
Page 3.
HEARING TINUED.
Discussion ensued regarding site inspections. Mr. Sherman felt that the old system f doing site
inspections the day before the hearing is unworkable and that with the new full-time assistant, they can
both view the sites. Thus, many things are picked up that would have been missed otherwise. Some
expressed the concern that the original justification for a full-time assistant was to cut down on the work
load, and that have two people review a single site might not be effective. The procedure, however,is that
the paperwork is looked over at the office and if two people are necessary to do a site inspection,it is done
that way.
7:25 THOMAS A NSC TILE for a Determination of Applicability for the construction of a single family
dwelling and installation of a private drinking well at 87 Edgewater Road. There are different
jurisdictional aspects under the Act and the Bylaw. The Bylaw recognizes steep banks as a resource area
and the Act doesn't. S ,large portions of this under the Act would not even be jurisdictional. In order for
him to save some money, I suggested he do this as an RDA. Linder the Act this is a resource area, but
under the Bylaw it is a buffer zone.
VOTE-. We provisionally accepted their version of gates and rocks to black
entrances for security purposes for their infrastructure and pilot tests going on.out at the bogs. We
could not vote on this issue until the Fire Department had given its okay. I have a meeting tomorrow
with representatives to make sure access issues are addressed for law enforcement and fire
departments. The Fire Department does not like the idea of rocks and would prefer lockable gates
with a key system so that any associated parties can get in there.
(Elliot Rosenberg joined the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
7:30 ERIC H.PETERSON for a covered porch over an existing deck, garage and house addition with
covered entry and Title V septic system upgrade at 112 Wading Place Road,Assessors Map 111,Block
108. Torre S y oniak left and Nancy Bal us is no longer there. John Gadd of
Jacobs was in control for awhile, but he went on a prolonged vacation and I haven't heard from him
since.
