29 July 1399
Page 2.
Public eornment: None.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close subject to Board of Appeals action and payment of taxes.
Unanimous vote.
There was discussion concerning the delay in the publication oflegal notices that delayed hearings
scheduled for this evening. General feeling was that the Commiission might publish their own notices
without going through the Selectmen's office. It was noted advertising costs come from the General Fund.
11r. Sherman will discuss the notices with Bob whritenour upon his return from vacation.
7:15 ERIC H.PETERSON continued from 15 July 1999. Mr. Peterson wants to put on an addition that
is not extra bedroom om space. 1t was suggested to him that he might put in a neer septic system;that he i
willing to d ,though not required.
Public comment: Ione.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close. Unanimous vote.
7:20 MARTIN SOLOMON must be postponed due to Notice error.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue to 12 August 1999 at 8:30 p,rn. Unanimous vote.
Ir. Sherman advised the Board of Appeals decisions are voted upon, sent to the Town Clerk's Office and
don't become official until 21 days thereafter. we have, therefore, been issuing too early because we issue
when we have Board of Appeals decisions. This discrepancy should be clarified. Perhaps we should make
future determinations as"subject to Board of Appeals issuance being effective under the law."' Or
language that no application is complete until they have Burd ofAppeals approval. we ought to have a
procedures subcommittee to deal with issues of this kind. Mr. Rosenberg will head up a subcommittee to
come up with a recommendation on the above matter. Mr. Green will be on this subcommittee as well.
7:25 COLONIAL GAS COMPANY must be postponed flue to Notice error.
VOTE: Motion matte and seconded to continue to 12 August 1999 at 7:50 p.m. Unanimous vote.
7:30 CSL T EVEL PANT CO.,INC.continued from 1 July 1999. They have requested a continuance
to 12 August 1399.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue, due to circumstances beyond the Commission's control,
to 12 August 1999 at 7:20 p.m. Unanimous vote.
7:35 COLONIAL GAS COMPANY must be postponed flue to Notice error.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue, due to circumstances beyond the Commission's control,
to 12 August 1999 at 7:55 p.m. Unanimous vote.
2 uashnet Bogs/EDB: Letter from Jim Snyder reviewed. There are elements that the Agent doesn't
agree with. He is meeting next Thursday with John Gadd and Steve Hurley and would recommend
-the subcommittee be present but not the full Commission. we will need another public meeting at
some point, but everything is in a stag of flux at present. At this point it is unknown whether they can
make a successful berm on K6. They are temporarily stabilizing the edges.
i
