2 December 1999
Page'1 3.
F
Ralph Baker stated he wished to have it on the record that when he talked to
DEP they said this was a public meeting forum because the golf course had
its opportunity for input and the board had its opportunity to deal with it
and the purpose of the public meeting part was the public could start
discussing and putting input in so that it would become part of the
permanent record and looked. at later. The Chair stated this is a heresy
statement on Mr. Baker's part. It is an open meeting concerning the
application. lar. Baker asked if it is subject to the open Meeting Laws
governing the open meeting? The Chair stated the Commission is only
concerned with what is on the application.
Mr. Green stated the issue is that at the present time there is no golf course
proposed in front of this Board. This Board's job this evening and in the past
few weeks, has been to delineate the resources that exist within the property
of a proposed golf course. It is not yet proposed before this Commission. Mac.
Baker stated the Town of Mashpee has already passed golf club bylaws which
affect this golf club.
Mr. Rosenberg stated again, there is no golf course before us. It is only an
open meeting with respect to the subject matter of the meeting and it has
been explained to Mr. Baker over and over that the subject matter of this
meeting is limited to the delineation of wetlands in that area, nothing else,
and therefore, nothing else is germane and to be discussed here.
Wolfe sands of Marstons Mills asked if any part is in sandwich. He was told
no.
Mr. Rapp' asked if abutters within 100' in Sandwich have been notified. He
was told yes, four or five panels have been notified.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close the hearing. Unanimous Note.
HEARING CLOSED*
Conservation ands: The Agent stated a letter will be sent to all town
departments to notify them Diane Boretos is the liaison in all matters except
the budget.
Vista Pruning: suggested notes for plans circulated.
