egathlin stated the land is immediately adjacent to <br /> Massachusetts Highway Department drainage easement, which is <br /> approximately 1. 4 acres; the combined total amount of open space <br /> being approximately 8 . 5 - 9 acres. <br /> At Mr. Sherman' s suggestion, Mr. Megathlin provided Pians <br /> Map overview of Project. Mr. Megathlin stated the Plan he <br /> provided has the support of thirty-seven groups within the <br /> Town of Mashpee, including governmental agencies, civic and <br /> neighborhood organizations. <br /> The proposal is for an outlet Center, with Mr. Megathlin <br /> making comparisons to the Center located in Wrentham. He stated <br /> the Mashpee proposal. is one hundred sixty thousand (160, 000) <br /> square feet with the majority of buildings to be located on <br /> Route 28 . <br /> References were then being made to an old neap showing the <br /> southerly end of the Talanian property and the location of <br /> certain trees which are to be protected by Deed restriction and <br /> recorded at the Registry of Deeds. He pointed out the location <br /> of the Com Electric easement and the Massachusetts Highway <br /> properties which will never be developed, but rather be preserved <br /> as open space. <br /> Mr. Megathlin thea made reference to the 7-acre parcel under <br /> consideration, noting the locations of Life at Mashpee, the <br /> Talanian parcel, Seamist, and Deer Crossing. He noted there is <br /> no other open space in the general area of the Rotary. <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested the Cormission endorse the concept <br /> being proposed to the Town, recognizing the efforts made by the <br /> Town Planner, Mr. Megathlin, and himself . <br /> There being no public comment or further commission <br /> discussion, the Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: John Johansen made a Motion to approve and proceed <br /> with the concept presented by Mr. Megathlin; which Motion was <br /> seconded by Ralph Shaw and so voted unanimously. <br /> The Chairman thanked Mr. Megathlin for the presentation made <br /> to the Commission and wished him well . <br /> . Megathlin requested a letter from the Conservation <br /> Commission for presentation to the CCC, which Mr. Sherman agreed <br /> to provide. <br /> 7 : 00 Gary Vitale-For bulkhead reconstruction, removal of an <br /> existing dock and reconstruction, maintenance and licensing of a <br /> new dock at 43 Santuit Lane, Assessors Map 30, Block 5 .
