17 August 2000 <br /> Page 2. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close pending Board of Appeals <br /> decision. Unanimous vote. <br /> CLOSED PENDING, <br /> 7;10 AIR FORCE CENTER `OR, ENVIRONMENTAL CELLENCE to <br /> amend the order of Conditions for SE 43-1761 for the Quashnet Bogs. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated he left a message for Mr. Minion He has not had the <br /> plans in order to walk the bog. He suggested they clarify some issues tonight <br /> and have a working meeting with Steve Hurley and Bill Fisher and then <br /> wrap it up two weeks from tonight. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg read into the record a letter from Silent Spring Institute <br /> regarding the EDB in the bogs. Also letters from Orenda Wildlife Land Trust <br /> and Mass. Audubon were react expressing concerns. <br /> Mr. 1linior stated the plume is a result of fuel spilled. A detailed risk <br /> assessment was done. Some of the issues have been addressed. The Annual <br /> Report will be out shortly. The Mass. Dept. of Public Health did test some of <br /> the fish, two species, and there was some ADB within the tissue of the fish. <br /> As part of the decision for the remedy for corrective action, it will go beyond <br /> whatvire have in the ground now. The Dept. of Interior has asked that some <br /> additional fish sampling be dome. They have dome some habitat analysis and <br /> have prepared eight monthly reports. They will be doing that one more time <br /> in the fall or late summer. <br /> Mr. Sherman commended Mr. 1linior and Mr. Moroge. There is on-going <br /> change, In tens of the berm, and the effect upon fish getting trapped. There <br /> are too many loose ends to close tonight. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue the hearing to 31 August <br /> 2000 at 7:35 p.m. t the request of the applicant. Unanimous Vote. <br /> HEARING CONTINUED. <br /> 7:15 PATRICIA SMITH to demolish existing dwelling, garage and deck and <br /> construct a new dwelling, garage and deck, install Title V septic system, <br /> retaining walls, detention berm and wall at 66 spoondrift way. <br />
