14 December 2000 <br /> Page 8. <br /> The Chair asked to whom he was referring? Mr. Hayes stated the <br /> Harbormaster and shellfish warden. The Chair advised the Shellfish <br /> Warden's report only stated there were no shellfish. <br /> Ms Boretos. referred to the reap in the Notice of Intent showing soft-shell <br /> habitat in the dredging area. Mr. Sherman recommended not getting <br /> bogged down in the shellfish aspect. <br /> Mr. Hayes stated, in order for him to satisfy this Board, he needs t <br /> present his presentation so he can find out what the Commission's <br /> objections are or what corrections he needs to make. <br /> Mr. Shea stated he felt the Commission should wait for CZM. Ms Moore <br /> agreed. <br /> Ms Boretos stated she would be haply to sit down with Mr: Hayes t <br /> discuss some of the information lacking and resource delineations on the <br /> plan if he will agree to a continuance. <br /> i <br /> Mr. Hayes asked when that would be The next available agenda is <br /> ,January 4th. He would speak with his clients. <br /> Kevin Harrington stated he has been a property owner in the town for 2 <br /> years and is dere tonight to represent save the Bay. He is not paid to d <br /> this and drove 150 miles tonight to be here and to be heard by this <br /> Board. so far, he has heard nothing but negatives and obstacles put in <br /> their.,way. They had an advertised hearing two weeks ago. They were <br /> asked to postpone for two weeks and now tonight and he is hearing weak <br /> ideas and weak excuses for postponing a full presentation. <br /> The Chair stated if the Commission gives them the opportunity for a full <br /> presentation tonight and find there is information missing, after- the <br /> presentation it might have to be denied and there start over. <br /> Ir. Harrington stated if this meeting had happened two creeks ago, <br /> maybe some of these issues would have been out on the table, such as <br /> the things found today. If they wait another three weeks, there may be <br /> more ob, eotions that aro raised. He is not asking for a decision tonight. <br /> The Chair stated if they want to make a presentation tonight, they have a <br /> right, to do it but, under the state law, the same members of the <br /> Commission have to be present at every hearing where information is <br />
