They were and it was within Zoo' f the <br /> River and within 5 o' of the top of the bank. Mr. Sherman me t with them <br /> and asked .them to stop until matters were clarified. He met with Don <br /> Liptack of Natural Resources conservation Service and chuck Green and <br /> representatives of the Tribe. It became clear after reviewing the regs that <br /> a horse farm is an agricultural exemption. <br /> Selectman Green advised they are working on a farm plan with Don <br /> Liptack to handle the nitrates of manure. He advised the Tribe is not <br /> going to expand upon the farm in any way. The only clearing done was <br /> from the old pastures to open therm again. <br /> The Chair asked what exactly is a horse farm; is it raising horses for <br /> breeding for racing? Mr. Sh rman stated raising horses which can man <br /> having therm born there and raised or taking a horse t any age and <br /> keeping it. It has to be commercial. <br /> Selectman green stated the intent is to create a riding stable.
