Genevieve Lands informed the Commission that some years ago <br /> hunting had been allowed on Moniomoscoy. At one point a hunter <br /> shot a swan in front of her property resulting in his arrest, as <br /> well as heightened concerns for the safety of property owners . <br /> The neighbors united to have hunting banned from the area. Afton <br /> three-gears they were successful in achieving the ban. <br /> Michael Talbot asked if there is proof of written <br /> documentation to this effect; Mr. Sherman noted the commission <br /> does not have the jurisdiction to address game laws. <br /> Mrs. Lands credited her Late husband with having erected the <br /> Osprey nest on M nom sco r. <br /> Elliot Rosenberg informed the Commission of a ]Board of <br /> Appeals Hearing scheduled for June 13th, Mashpee Town Hall, at <br /> 7 : 30 .m. consisting of four requests for variance on Monomoscoy <br /> Road. <br /> At this point Mr. Sherman addressed an agenda item, <br /> Monor oscoy Improvement Trust, whereby the Board of Selectmen have <br /> been requested to instruct the Board of Appeals to investigate <br /> requests rade for zoning variances for possible inconsistent <br /> decisions. <br /> There being no further Commission or public omment, the <br /> Chairman expressed gratitude to those in attendance for their <br /> interest in environmental issues and encouraged them to remain <br /> involved. <br /> 7 : 00 Paul V. Griffin, Determination of Applicability on a <br /> proposed brick patio at 138 Ninigret Avenue, Assessors Map 65, <br /> Block 7 . RDA <br /> Applicant having been recognized to be present by the <br /> Chairman, Mr. Sherman reported this to be a buffer zone issue <br /> being more than eighty-eight feet away from the current pond <br /> edge. Theme will be no changes to drainage. He recommended <br /> approval . <br /> There being no Commission or public comment, the Chairman <br /> entertained a notion. <br /> NOTION; Elliot Rosenberg made a motion for Negative <br /> Determination; which Motion was duly seconded and so voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> 7 : 02 Paul.
