MOTION: John Johansen made a Motion for a Negative 2 <br /> Determination; which Motion was seconded by Michael Talbot and <br /> so voted unanimously. <br /> 6. Mr.. Sherman reported the Brian Handy water situation has <br /> been resolved with the Harbormaster. <br /> Mr. Sherman also reported RCS has met with Mr. Handy and <br /> recommended stabilization of the banks using straw and grass <br /> seed. Mr. Sherman strongly suggested the Commission forward a <br /> letter to Mr. Handy stating it is his responsibility to apprise <br /> the Commission whenever work is being done in the river in order <br /> to discuss/provide erosion control . <br /> MOTION: Elliot Rosenberg made a Motion to direct the <br /> Conservation Agent to compose and forward a letter to Mr. Handy; <br /> which Motion was seconded by Ralph Shaw and so voted unanimously. <br /> 7:20 Popponesset Beach Association for the removal of three <br /> hundred (300) square feet of Bordering vegetated Wetland, the <br /> planting of indigenous plants and a request for maintenance in <br /> perpetuity at the Popponesset Beach Association Ball Field, 156 <br /> wading Place Road, Assessors Map 111, Block 139 . <br /> Commissioner John Johansen stepped down from the Hearing in <br /> this matter. <br /> Mr. Sherman provided background information by informing the <br /> Commission of a narrow wetland along Spoondrift Road. The area <br /> is not large enough to be considered a State wetland, however <br /> there is some wildlife value. The request to cut some of the <br /> invasive growth back would involve the cutting of willow trees; <br /> as well as the planting of an equal area comprised of shadbush <br /> and blueberry along another edge of the wetland. He recommended <br /> approval. <br /> There being no Commission or public comment, the Chairman <br /> entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: Elliot Rosenberg made a Motion to Close and Issue; <br /> which Motion was seconded by Ralph Shaw and so voted unanimously. <br /> 7 .
