Motion made, seconded and unanimously.carried to grant a continuance to December
5th at 7:55 p.m.
,nn., Charles Gaudet 144 Ninigret Avenue (covered porch). John Slavinsky
represented the applicant. Bob said the presence of a gravel roadway mitigates the
value of this area, but this was originally Diane case, and he has not had a chance to
verify the wetland d line. Therefore, he recommended approval of the plan subject to
verification of the wetland lire.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the application subject to
verification of the wetland line.
:30 ,rte. Kenneth Jones,'28 Great river Road {demolish/reconstruct house,
porch/deck). Bob said this is Diane's case, he went out to look at it yesterday and the
flagging vas not all done. Therefore the applicant requested a continuance.
Motion made seconded and unanimously carried to continue the hearing to December
5th at 7:35 p.m. at the request of the applicant.
• . Joseph Bousa, 30 Spoondrift Way enlarge deck/plantings). Bob said Mr.
Bousa was in Florida but he conferred with hire several times, and he is planning to d
some significant planting (about an 8 ft. strip of natural vegetation) to justify a 2 ft,
extension lengthwise of the deck. Bob recommended approval. Jack raised the issue
of whether there is a compelling reason to grant such a request. Bob said a compelling
reason is needed if it involves a natural area, but this is not a natural area. Michael
said he thinks in this case the compensatory plantings are of such a value in such a
sensitive area that a couple of feet of deck is a rice tradeoff, because right noir this
area is a gravel pit.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the application.
7:40 p.m., Barbara Adner, 1Bowsprit Point (maintenance in perpetuity). Bob said
the applicant is in Florida} but he has conferred with therm and he has no problem with
the request. However, he said when he visited the site he found on top of the existing
float another section that looks life a jet ski attachment, so he recommended that we
should not approve the project until the applicant adds to the application the fact that
what's sitting on the float is not part of the project.
Motion made seconded and unanimously carried to grant a continuance to December
5th at :00 p.m.
.m. Brian Howes, 70 surr mersea Road (addition). Mr. Howes was present.
Bob told the applicant that he must file a formal application with the Board of Health.
5
