John Slavinsky
represented the applicant and described the plan. Bob said Jim O'Connell (WHOI Sea Grant)
has some concerns over a possible scouring at base of the wall. One option would be to put in
some rough stone in the base, or a simpler option would be to monitor it for a couple of years.
We could condition that it be measured after it is in with a baseline survey which we would
monitor for two years and reserve the right that if there are changes in terms of losing sediment
at the base of the wall, then other measures will have to be taken to rectify the situation. If the
applicant would agree to the latter, Bob would recommend approval.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the plan with an Order of
Conditions that there be a biannual monitoring, and if there are changes in terms of losing
sediment at the base of the wall, then other measures will have to be taken to rectify the situation.
7:55 p.m.,Mute Swan Corp., 333 Simons Narrows Road (construct and license pier, ramp and
float with maintenance in perpetuity).
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carred to approve a continuance to December 2"d at
7:10 p.m., at the request of the applicant.
8:00 p.m., Geoffrey Willis, 65 Hooppole Road (construct and license a pier, ramp and float with
electric and water service, walkway with maintenance in perpetuity).
