Jr. <br /> Tern O'Rourke from Capewide Enterprises represented the homeowner and is seeking approval to complete <br /> a project that involves the tear down of a single dwelling home and the construction of a new single dwelling <br /> home with site work and utilities. The site work includes the removal of trees. Agent McManus made a <br /> recommendation for some plantings for the tree removal although mitigation is not required. The argent asks <br /> of grade changes and Mr. O'Rourke states there are none. Some of the trees being removed are heavily <br /> infested with bark beetles which pose a hazard to the existing house. Driveways will be pervious with <br /> crushed stone. Mr. Allen asks if the house will be elevated and Mr. O'Rourke states that the house will be <br /> approximately fir" higher than the existing house. Mr. Gurnee asks about the existing septic and Mr. O'Rourke <br /> responds that the septic has been inspected and it passed. The work proposed by the Sullivans is all within ars existing fenced pool <br /> area and consists of the following: Removal of the timber retaining wall that was originally installed <br /> in 1991 and replace with a masonry gall along the pool edge (same footprint); install a 5 1 <br /> 2 gide <br /> drainage strip along the pool perimeter to promote infiltration; install a fire pit at the northern part of <br /> the pool; relocate two gates and associated steps at two locations; there will be a need to <br /> reconfigure the egress off the rear of the house; large deck on the rear of the house will be removed <br /> exposing a large area where they would like to do some plantings and install more blue stone patio; <br /> remove some Junipers from the slope and pant more desirable native plants; extend.the pool <br /> perimeter fencing because of the changes to the egress. Agent McManus states that there is no <br /> effect to the coastal bank or adverse impart to any of the resource areas. All changes are within a <br /> pre-disturbed layout. Removal of the non-native Junipers is fine as there will be no impact.
