Board of Health Meeting, October 281 1985, Minutes
but I think that is the course that, I know it' s the course that I
would like to take and I think that what can come out of it, in the
information to us and to the people that have properties up there
and that are involved in building or, looking to build.
Mr. Terry: Is there a time table, in terms of whatever additional- data-
or
dditional- data-
or information the Board hopes to obtain, before rendering a further
decision in- this process.
CFB: A lot, a lot is going to depend on what Kerfoot had to say, how
hers basing his facts on, we haven't seen any of that and ' I ' assuming
that there will be a written report, we have one here, I haven 't had a
chance to go through with it, we just got it this evening, and see what
is in them and talk with hien and see what h has in his mind as a re-
sult of his work, to see where i-t is, I
Mr, Terry: -Is. it conceivable for e am' ple that we could still he facing
the same questions after the first of the year?
CHL: I hope not.
CFB: I hope not too.
CHL: We ' re trying to rove on th.i.s thing, I mean this Board is trying to
rove but sometimes .things are just out of our control, we can ' t set other-
peoples schedule, we have been trying desparately since this carne to a
head, to get this thing, y.e s, no, maybe, what, mayb e ' s don't mean any-
thing, we want it either black or white, no grey areas, either there is
a problem or there isn' t a prole , and ah, we can' t pin-point it,that' s
why we ' re making, that' s whir we put the moratorium in there because,
there.'-s, a. -+p si i1it r and that bothers them, bothers 'em, everyone of
us on the Board here.
FB: I just can't add anymore than that, I think you can appreciate our
position, to me it' s just the same as watching a baby playing with the
stuff that' s under the kitchen sink and you }snow that you can tell there
'don' t do than' and 'don't play around there ' but it isn't going to make
you feel any better while your back is turned they do go in and play
around there and something happens.
Mr, Terry: Well, we appreciate the Boards time.
CHL: W'e will let you know, the minute we hear, and I 'm sure, I hope in
the next few weeks we ' ll have it a little more clean cut, a more . defi.ni+-
tive answer for you, we 're pushing for that.
Mr. Terry: well, we appreciate your concern and appreciate your response,
and your willingness to meet with u .
Ms . Lynch: Don't forget on the- problem with Mrs . Diller, she ' s already
had the perp test' done and the well pint in, the bank has approved the
money to start building and now she can' t get a }wilding permit.
CHL: I think the same thing would hold with her.
CFB: Yes, I would lite to talk with Town Counsel and see where we stand,
I think you can probably realize where we 're probably heading for and
CHL: And we will try to get you, as soon as possible, it' s just that we
are waiting for other people
Ms, Lynch: We have the ' same prole .
FB: we realize that there are going to be other people that are in that
]rind, and you know I wouldn 't have. .I wouldn't have a clear conscience
if I lust turned around and said, r , hell, you drew your permits before
