<br /> 11 . Catherine Mullen, Brewster Road, Richard P. Trask, Brewster Road
<br /> appeared before the Boardwith the following inquiries . Mr. Buckingham
<br /> asked if there was any new business, he had noticed the above persons
<br /> and wondered if they had any business or if they were just observers.
<br /> Mr. Trask replied he h-ad nothing, he just ,ranted to listen.
<br /> Ms. Mullen: "I 'm from Cotuit Corners and I 'd like to , kn.ow what the
<br /> situation with the water is," ,
<br /> Agent: "He made the statement (reference, stetson Hall) that he was
<br /> going to test the water- in Cotuit Corners, �w
<br /> CFB: "They are going into. .. . . '1
<br /> Interrupt Agent: "No, he made that statement here the night that ah. . .
<br /> Interrupt CFB: "oh yeh, stet made it. "
<br /> Agent: - Stets made it the night he was here, but he has not confirmed
<br /> with us whether he' s going in, I can call tomorrow and find out what
<br /> hers going to do. We 've been telling people in that area when they
<br /> call here to call hire (reference S . Hall) , cause he' s made the state-
<br /> ment we can' t force him to do it. "
<br /> Mr, Trask: ' What statement has he made?"
<br /> Agent: "stetson Hall from Barnstable County made the statement that
<br /> e was going to test all of Cotuit Corners. "
<br /> Mr. Trask: "But, he didn't say when?"
<br /> CFB: "He didn't say when. "
<br /> Agent: "He didn ' t say ,Then, we 've been asking him when he was going
<br /> to do it, but we haven't gotten an answer. "
<br /> FB: "'Ghat is puzzling is - the fact that he ' s made it very plain that
<br /> he has to shut down the Lab for a period of time in order to comply
<br /> with maintenance requirements and to have it - re-certified, "
<br /> Agent: "They just got through doing that. "
<br /> CFB: "Did they do it?"
<br /> CFB: "so if they are back on line, why don' t you call there and ask
<br /> them, how he plans on going about it. "
<br /> Mr-. Trask:: " Would there being any interest Town getting independent
<br /> contractors to do some tests in the areas o (muffled, Mr. Trask is
<br /> far removed from microphone pick-up "
<br /> Agent: "It would be very nice if we had money enough to do it, "
<br /> CFF : "Mr. ianson, one of the Selectmen, ha.s, I understand, made that
<br /> request, if you can call it, qr,, at least, made that sort of a state-
<br /> ment to the Selectmen, ah, I don ' t know hoer much money they have. I
<br /> know that this Board does not have that -kind of 'Money to go ahead with
<br /> that kind o-f program' We are looking for the County to provide u
<br /> with the service, I believe their instruments 'are of a good grade
<br /> and that their reports come back equal to anybody else ' s . I 'm curious
<br /> and want to wait until Stetson comes forward with the program that he
<br /> can outline for us, I think he ' s done very well by the Town with the `
<br /> amount of tests that he' s taken up nearer to . "
<br /> Ms. Mullen: "What part .of 28?"
<br /> "
<br /> CFB: "He has gone from Summerwood up to the disposal area -and taken
<br /> tests. "
<br /> Mr. Trask: "You can understand the concern of the residents of Cotuit
<br /> Corners,. you just throw a rock we are so close, and from ray own point
