S M <br /> MINUTES August 2, 1990 3 BOARD OF HEAL'T'H <br /> Mr, Creel ish informed Dr. Lowrance the Animal Control <br /> Officer is requesting a portion of the monies appropriated <br /> for Animal Inspector. <br /> Dr. Lowrance explained the history of Animal Inspector <br /> and commented there has been an understanding between the <br /> town and the hospital in regards to the caring of animals <br /> brought in by policemen or individuals involved in an acci- <br /> dent. Time and efforts are expended in contacting the owners <br /> and caring for the injured animals. The hospital receives <br /> $20. 00 once Ms. Daley submits the paperwork. Dr. Lowrance <br /> commented another aspect of the Animal Inspector is quaran- <br /> tining animals due to dog bites, etc. <br /> Mr. Costa requested Dr, Lowrance and Ms. Daley submit <br /> statistical report indicating increases in Animal Inspector- <br /> duties, from previous years -to present. <br /> Mr. Costa motioned to equally distribute monies, appro- <br /> priated thru town meeting, from the 1991 Animal Inspectors <br /> account to Dr, David Lowrance and Ms. Tune Daley, Mr* Doherty <br /> seconded, all agreed, <br /> APPOINTMENT; James Sullivan - Proposed addition, 5 Elisabeth <br /> Island Road <br /> Mr. Sullivan was in -atte dance for this scheduled ap- <br /> pointment, <br /> Mr. Sullivan informed the Board in 1988 an emergencyre- <br /> pair was approved by this Board. Mr. Sullivan stated he is <br /> now proposing to construct an addition as they would likes to <br /> winterize the existing cottage. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board all abutters are hooked <br /> into High Wood water. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented local 'regulations require engi- <br /> neering plans. <br /> Mr. Oreelish commented the Title v system that was in- <br /> stalled by Mr. Labute meets all Title v specifications. This <br /> Board would entertain accepting the plan by Mr. Labute condi- <br /> tional upon an inspection by the Health Agent <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed plans submitted to this Board by Mr. <br /> Labute do not indicate an addition. Plans submitted to Mr, <br /> Sullivan by Mr. Labute indicate a proposed addition, it is <br /> evident Mr. Labute intended the upgrade with the idea of a <br /> fixture addition. Mr, McQuaid commented if plans were <br />
