1 <br /> MINUTES October 4, 1990 8 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> mounded system. <br /> Mr . Greelish commented in its current location we've <br /> held to the determination that soils be natural . <br /> Attorney Henchy stated he did see a new regulation which <br /> was promulgated recently dealing with that directly. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated we have had technical disagreements <br /> but have never granted a system that did not meet that re- <br /> quirement. <br /> e- <br /> guirement. <br /> Attorney Henchy disagreed with that 'Interpretation. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented to install a mounded system with a <br /> containment wall , to not affect an abutting property would <br /> compound the problem. <br /> Attorney Henchy stated the remaining issue is the <br /> wetland resource area, there is just no other place to put it <br /> in light of the well configurations. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated this Board does not have the author- <br /> ity to force anyone to mere tear wells, We have at ties <br /> asked people whether they would consider moving their- well, <br /> offered technical assistance and any other ash stance imagin- <br /> ahl.e. If we thought, in this case, our intervention might <br /> help the situation we would offer that assistance. <br /> Attorney Henchy questioned the Board as to -whether they <br /> would give any consideration to the insulation of a tight <br /> tank, to he disconnected immediately upon the installation ,o <br /> town water. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated in recent conversations with D.E.P. <br /> it would not be allowed. <br /> Attorney Henciy stated if D.E.P. were willing to go <br /> along with that would the Board gine any consideration to <br /> that. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated the Board would consider it. <br /> M -. costa stated he has personally been involved intry- <br /> ing to make different arrangements, other than the Mahpe <br /> Water District, to try and find a source to get {water down <br /> there fairly quickly.. That area is the shortest way to get <br /> over to the Islands, ionomoscoy and Seconsett . <br />
