MINUTES March 13, 1989 5 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> Mr. Greelish requested Mr. McQuaid to research the amount of stickers <br /> issued this year. <br /> APPOINTMENT: erry Labute', Titi.e V Variance for Qui Ity, Elisabeth Isl . Rd. <br /> Mr. Labute was in attendance for this variance request. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board that he inspected the system which was -found <br /> to be in fa i l ur& and commented all abutting lots are receiving H i g hwood later <br /> with exception of the rear lot (Kroll ) . Mr* McQuaid stated the greatest dis <br /> tance available is 75 feet from the edge of the proposed. leach pit to the loca- <br /> tion <br /> oca- <br /> tiori of -the Kroll well . Mr. McQuaid -informed the Board , he is in receipt of a <br /> letter from Ms, Krol-1 which states no objection to the variance request however <br /> would like to reserve the right to have the Quilty family pay to have her well <br /> relocated at some time in the future if and when her well water should be come <br /> contaminated. <br /> Mr, costa questioned Mr. Labute as to whether it would be possible to <br /> more the Kroll well to- meet the distance from septic to well . <br /> Mr. Labute stated he was unsure as to the location of her septic and the <br /> location of the well and septics from the troll property. <br /> Mr. costa stated , this Boa d 'does not have -the legal authority to make <br /> any quarantees. <br /> Mr. Costa stated this Board is willing to grant the sideline variance of <br /> feet and foundation 'variance of 10 feet, hDwever Ms. Kroll rust withdraw her <br /> objection prior to approval . <br /> 4 <br /> Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to forward a letter to Ms. boll informing <br /> her of this Board' s inclination to vote favorably to:.the variance . request a <br /> t is s i n- m nc and--.the greatest distance stance a s i l ab l e from septic to <br /> i rr <br /> weil is proposed and request Ms. Kroll withdraw her objection. <br /> APPOINTMENT: - Charles F. Buckingham, TI ansfer 'Station30 <br /> r <br /> R <br /> . Buckingham was in attendance for this discussion <br />' lir. Buckingham informed the Board that within the Transfer Station area <br /> rubbish was discovered which will require more corer prior to -the initial work. <br /> Mr. Buckingham commented discussions have taken place as to whether a sprinkler <br /> system is to be installed in the building due -to the contaminants in the water. <br /> He stated recommendations were received to fence the entire area which would <br /> increase the cost of the project, <br /> . <br /> Mr. Greelish commented there will be landscaping around the transfer sta- <br /> tions area. <br /> Mr. Buckingham discussed the possibility of security fencing. <br /> r <br />
