Services, she was told that their focus <br /> is the lower Cape due to the under staffing. Ms. Waterman stated they were <br /> told they service the Upper Cape however all referrals submitted were not <br /> followed up. <br /> Mr. Connell suggested a meeting with the various agencies prior to fiscal <br /> year funding. <br /> Mr. Costa informed Mr. Connell ,the town is in -the' <br /> process of hiring a <br /> director of human services , once appointed monies will be transferred over to <br /> that department. <br /> Mr. Connell responded , he is aware of .the development of Ahis department. <br /> however f i'h a 1 stages have not been completed. Mr. Connell explained that the <br /> V.N.A. has not cooperated with screenings. Mr. Connell requested a meeting <br /> with each agency to discuss elderly.,services. <br /> Mr. Costa suggested Mr. Conne'l 1 and Ms. Waterman prepare their requests <br /> for services to the elderly i.n,.wr iting at which tine .a meeting will be sche- <br /> duled <br /> h - <br /> duled for each agency. <br /> Mr. McQuaid explained that the Board of Health funds these agencies, <br /> therefore if referrals were placed. through this office follow-up pro edurs <br /> may be more successful . <br /> APPOINTMENT: Ernie Virgilio - Illegal dumping & Waste Oil Collection <br /> Mr. Virgilio was in attendance f r this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Costa questioned Mr. Virgilio as to whether the signs have been posted <br /> on Red Brook Road. <br /> Mr. Virgilio responded that the signs will be Posted Tuesday, pending the <br /> Police Department's approval of the p l a rhent of the signs. <br /> Mr. Virgilio, informed the Board the steel pile has been eliminated. <br /> Mr. Virgilio stated thei-r department hays -begun. tr .sh.�piek--up on town owned <br /> roads <br /> Mr, Costa recommended Mr. Virgilio contact surrounding town D.P.W. Super- <br /> intendents to discuss metal , tiro, etc. pick-up. <br /> Mr. Virgilio responded, he meets once monthly to discuss 'Various pro-. . r. <br /> cedures for tire, metal , glass etc. pick-up. <br />
