MINUTES August 10, 1989 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> h <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned o grant a six month pert extension request, Mr . <br /> Doherty seconded, all agreed. _ 7 <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated one abutter is receiving High Wood Water~, the remain- <br /> ing wells are private and maintain a distance between loo' and 150' , . <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board Title V requires a separation of 1 ' be- <br /> tween the foundation and tank and 20' between foundation and a leaching <br /> facility. Mr. McQuaid recommended the house be placed on a slab as those <br /> distances would not be required by Title V. <br /> Mr. Evans relayed that a sideline variance will also be required. <br /> Mr* Greelish motioned to deny the variances requested based on Mr. <br /> McQuaids recommendations,, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT:, Earl Marsters - Conservation land <br /> Mr. Marsters was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Costa relayed to Board members he walked the site with Mr. Marsters, <br /> on behalf of the Board and explained Mr. Marsters. is present this even- <br /> ing to receive this Board's support for a land purchase at the next spec- <br /> ial town meeting. <br /> Mr. Marsters explained to Board members that the Conservation Commission <br /> is sponsoring the article withco-sponsorship by the Historic Commission <br /> wind the Town Planner. M . Marsters relayed that the land is within the <br /> water re-charge area and water shed for the pond. Mr. Marsters stated <br /> there is approximately 1000' of sandy beach <br /> Board members were in agreeance to endorse the land acquisition. <br /> APPOI TME[ T: David Miller - Car Wash <br /> Mr. David Miller and Mr. Chris DiMeo were in attendance for this sche- <br /> duled appointment* <br /> Mr. Miller informed the Board the location of the proposed car wash is <br /> Bowdoin Road. Mr. Miller stated they. propose a total recovery system, <br /> Mr. DiMeo informed the Board they would not propose a tunnel system as <br /> it i - not. feasible for the area. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board he did recommend Mr* Miller consult with <br /> D s E• r E s ■ <br /> 1r. Miller~ stated he did consult with D.E. .E. who did not comment on <br /> the car wast. Mr. Miller commented the proposed building iil be con- <br /> struct-ed from cinder block, two opening car wash, and self-serve car <br /> wash on the outside. Mr. Miller stated they will maintain a 100' set- <br /> back from the road and the entire acne wi i l be fenced in. . <br /> Mr. Creel i sh unformed fir. Miller if a holding tank were installed he <br /> would come under the jurisdiction of D.E. .E. and the E.P.A. . <br /> Mr. Miller stated a loop system would be installed with a 42 horse power <br /> drier. <br />
