Dr. Deoura stated the school department will work <br /> closely with the Board of Health, the contractor and BCHED to resolve this <br /> issue 'and reiterated his earlier comments stating their primary focus is to <br /> protect the safety and health of the children. <br /> Dr. DeMoura. suggested a meeting be scheduled when the second round of <br /> results are received. <br /> Mr. Hall commented the plan reflects alot of thought and approves of <br /> the plan -Dr. DeMoura has presented however voited his concern over the hand- <br /> washing. He- suggested bottled water, distilled water. or a handi-wipe as a <br /> final rinse and commented he Mould research this with D.F.P. for comment. <br /> Dr. De dura questioned Mr. Hall as to whether this would be a supplement <br /> to washing. <br /> Mr. Hall resonded., as a supplement. <br /> Mr. Costa suggested turning off the faucets in the restrooms completely <br /> and using Nandi-wipes only. <br /> Mr. Evans stated he did not agree with the suggestion as this would de- <br /> feat the purpose of teaching the' children good sanitation and did not feel <br /> the hardi-wipe would be necessary as the ch•iidren would not be drinking the <br /> water. <br /> Mr. Hall stated he is concerned with a slight residual that may remain <br /> on the children ' s hands and would reassure the parents that all possible steps <br /> are being taken. Mr Hall also commented in the interim -this would allow for <br /> some research with more knowledgeable people* <br /> Mr. costa relayed if the readings were not so high ,he would agree with <br /> Nor. Evans however due to the high level he- would prefer to take every pre- <br /> caution as suggested by Mr, Hall . <br /> Mr. Greeff i sh and Mr. O'Brien were in agreeance. <br /> 1r. costa stated one of his main concerns was the supervision of -the <br /> restrooms. <br />
