i ,. MINUTES September 21 , 1989 4 BOARD of HEALTH Mr, Doherty questioned what would be reuired to bring her well up to the standards of- a public water supply. Mr. McQuaid responded that approval must be obtained from D.B.P. , Divi- sion of Water Supply as a non-community public well and would require a pro- tective radius, which would probably not be met. Mr. McQuaid commented if bottled water- were used it would be impossible to police. M . McQuaid suggested Ms. Bowe forward a letter 'to D.E.P. requesting her well water be approved as the source of Water= for her business operations and stated this Board will compose a letter to D.E.P. in support of her re- quest, Y ' The Board ways in agreeance with Mr. i cQuaid' s suggestion. I Mr. McQuaid informed Ms. Bowe once she receives a response from D.E.P. in writing it. will be brought up before the Board for re-consideration Mr. Evans recommended Ms. Bowe prepare a water sample for analysis as soon as possible. 15. ) Discussion e: Bottled water for Transfer Station employees - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board this issue has been resolved as the Selectmen will pay for the Bottled Water- from the Bottled Water Account. 16. ) Septic hauler application, Capeway Pumping co. , Inc. - fir: Doherty motioned to grant the lice.nse as requested, ' r* costa seconded. Mr. Doherty requested -Mr. McQuaid to forward a letter to the company informing thea of lagoon restrictions. i 17. ) Emergency repair plan, . Warwick for R. i anc-i , lot 2 Beare Rd. -- Mr. McQuaid informed the Board in October 1987 a perc was perforated in order to upgrade to a Title v system as the owner was proposing to re- model . e- odel . Mr. McQuaid stated records do not indicate anything more than a pec was done and commented recently he received a call from Mr. ianci who was -conducting extensive renovations to the building at which time, while doing landscaping work, caved in the cesspool . Mr. McQuaid stated the building has not been inhabited during these renovations, This could be considered ars emergency rep.air, in that the cesspool has collapsed, however no one has been living in the dwelling. Mr. McQuaid stated no plans have been submitted until this accident happened. Mr. McQuaid stated yr i antes requested are from Board of Health regula- tions egula- tions and' Title v regulations. 1r. Evans informed the Board the abutter refuses to hook into High Wood Water and commented the dwelling has been completely gutted. Mr. Costa- stated this is not an emergency repair and will require public hearing. r, Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to notify the engineer that a public hearing is required.
